
Research Coordinator, Psychiatry

**Description**
This position involves both quantitative and qualitative research work. The research will include working with community and health care workers. This position could require occasional national and international travel.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator.
Recurring Part-time employees are hourly employees engaged to perform work on an irregular schedule.
**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):
- Assist in the development, design and implementation of projects in accordance with the research group's policies and procedures indicated in study protocols
- Oversee and support research study coordination, tasks will differ depending on the type of study active
- Assist in setting up new projects and maintaining established projects
- Assist in the development of study materials, including study protocols, regulatory submissions (ethical review board), and grant submission
- Create knowledge translation materials as required
- Assist in the preparation of study reports, abstracts and writing manuscripts
- Manage correspondence with prospective journals
- Complete literature searches, enter information into databases and/or modeling software
- Interact with People With Lived/Living Experience with addictions and mental health challenges. This may include interviews, scheduling meetings, and supporting their participation in an advisory board
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- Bachelor Degree, health-related field preferred, other areas will be considered MSc or PhD in health-related field is desirable
- Previous experience as a research coordinator (Minimum 1 year experience). Background in clinical trials preferred
- Experience with psychiatric clinical population highly beneficial
- Knowledge of University policies including submission of projects to ethics boards
- Fluent in English
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office programs and bibliographic software; experience with modeling software (AnyLogic) desired
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented, including the ability to work independently, to multi-task, and to coordinate the work of others
- Strong interpersonal skills Cooperative and dependable
