We are looking for a Mine Operations Advisor to provide assistance to the Operations Supervisors and Superintendents by removing delays in work execution due to materials, technical information, and clerical data entry, as well as to support pre-start work requirements. The Operations advisor role will support the weekly plan and the successful execution of the work. The role is based in Labrador City, NL and provides support to the entire Mine Operations team. Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Development you will:

- Actively promote Rio Tinto “Zero Harm” safety culture, including: awareness, safe work practices and hazard identification and risk management principles
- Provide support to Dewatering, Mobile Rock Crusher, Alternate Feed System and the Drill, Blast, Load & Haul and Auxiliary teams to help achieve targets
- Review submitted documentation and enter into CMMS as per asset management requirements.
- Improve compliance to planned work; by supporting all processes related to the execution.
- Design and execute a system to manage HME parts for planned and break-in type activities where required.
- Develop/execute systems to ensure persons are paid and work order management is completed to support IPT metrics.
- Interact daily with operators/maintainers, planners & supervisors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and recorded properly; and to provide the required support including; Assets, PO’s, E-reqs, Requisitions, work orders, preparation of invoicing, etc.
- Provide support to the Mine Operations Supervisor, including performing Supervisory tasks as required, including providing Supervisor vacation relief

**What you’ll bring**
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team;
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
- Exposure to a mine operations environment, and related experience regarding the support of heavy mobile equipment.
- Understanding of IOC Asset Management Systems and SAP (or other maintenance systems) will be considered assets.
- Computer literacy
- Leadership and coaching skills
- Minimum of a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Previous Supervisory experience
