As a regulatory body for social workers in British Columbia, BCCSW acts within its statutory authority to develop and administer policies, procedures and practices that reflect the mandate of the College, which is to serve and protect the public by superintending the practice of social work in British Columbia. Founded in 2008, BCCSW is governed by a 12-member Board comprised of four public members and eight elected members from over 6,200 province-wide registered social workers.
**General Overview**:
Reporting to the Manager, Registration, this permanent full-time position is based out of BCCSW’s offices located at Vancouver and requires in-office presence from Monday to Friday. The Registration Assistant is primarily responsible for providing administrative support for registration related activities and front office responsibilities of the BCCSW. This includes carrying out day-to-day administrative tasks, assisting other staff members in the Registration Department, responding to inquiries from prospective and existing registrants and other administrative tasks as assigned.
**Primary Job Duties and Activities**:
- Provides administrative support to the College’s registration process
- Performs general reception duties and provides accurate information to various stakeholders, including prospective and existing registrants
- Receives and distributes mail as directed
- Scans incoming documents and saves them in the electronic filing system accordingly
- Coordinates printing and mailing, including, but not limited to, preparing and sending out registration packages to new registrants in a timely manner
- Assist in the administration of the annual registration renewal of registrant licensure and during submission timelines for continuing professional development by registrants
- Assists registrants with troubleshooting the registrant portal on the website
- Coordinates BCCSW’s social media presence, providing information to target audiences (existing and prospective registrants, public and other stakeholders) onregistration-related topics such as registration process, renewals, and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program
- Provides administrative support to other staff members in the Registration Department
- Provides organizational support to BCCSW as needed
- Any other duties that may be assigned

**Education and Work Experience**:
- Post secondary education and previous experience working in an office-based environment, providing administrative support relevant to the duties of this position. Appropriate combination of training and experience will be considered.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, database management systems and social media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Understanding of professional regulatory functions is an asset
