Research Operations Manager

Reporting to the Director, Clinical Research, and the Scientific Co-Directors of the Slaight Family Centre, the full-time, permanent Research Operations Manager will support ongoing research activities within the centre, including:
- Oversight of day-to-day activities of research staff and training of all new research staff (including research coordinators, research methods specialists, research analysts and research trainees)
- Providing overall support and coordination to scientists and physicians in executing and managing research studies in the centre
- Ensuring compliance of research personnel with CAMH institutional and research policies, procedures and regulations
- Managing all human resources inquiries, including recruitment, onboarding, staff training, daily supervision of all staff, and performance management; Oversee staff and proactively identify staff training needs, professional development needs and performance management
- Managing the centre’s centralized research recruitment infrastructure
- Managing research projects and coordination of multi-site projects both within Canada and internationally; Ensuring project goals, objectives and deliverables are met within the required timeline, proactively manage changes in each study’s scope, identify potential risks, and devising/implementing contingency plans.
- Liaising with necessary internal and external stakeholders regarding project deliverables
- Working collaboratively with clinical leadership to support continued clinical research integration
- Assisting scientists in securing funding through internal and external competitions
- Monitoring key performance indicators, and supporting quality and safety initiatives
- Creating budget forecasting, monitoring of budgets, preparing and submitting scientific and financial progress across all research studies and for the centre as a whole
- Maintaining content for the centre’s external and internal webpages
- Negotiating and establishing contractual agreements

**Qualifications**:
You will possess a Masters degree in a clinical research related field in the mental health domain (e.g. psychology, neuroscience, epidemiology, etc.) and five (5) years of clinical research operations experience. Equivalent post-secondary education and work experience in a research environment will be considered.
**Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.**
**Please Note**: This full-time, permanent position is NOT part of any Bargaining Unit.
