Desktop Support Analyst

Position Highlights

The Desktop Support team has an opening for a permanent, full-time Desktop Support Analyst. As a member of IT Services &
Operations, this position will provide technical expertise to support the daily operations of ICBC employees and business

partners.

As a Desktop Support Analyst on the Desktop Support team you will be responsible for:

- The installation of software packages manually or through automated utilities and scripts
- Assisting in deployment of personal computing hardware including desktops, laptops, monitors and other peripherals.
- Resolving complex personal computing hardware or software related issues within defined service level agreements.
- Collaborating with other Information Services Division groups to resolve complex issues
- Configuring and supporting multi-function print devices.
- Participating in personal computing initiatives related to device upgrades or changes.

Position Requirements

Qualified applicants should have demonstrable skills and experience in the following areas:

- Knowledge of the Incident Management process including a history of investigating and resolving IT Incidents.
- Basic understanding of the Problem Management and Change Management processes used at ICBC and defined under ITIL.
- In depth understanding of the Windows 10 operating system in an enterprise managed environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft O365 including Teams and Azure Active Directory.
- More than 2 years' experience resolving personal computing hardware or software related issues.
- Basic understanding of a Citrix virtualized environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Excellent written skills for both technical and non-technical audiences including the creation of process and support

documentation.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- A history of building working relationships with business members and other partners including vendors.
- Experience leading small operational or process improvement initiatives would be considered an asset.

The above requirements would typically be acquired through post-secondary education related to information technology and

several years of related experience in customer support for desktop, telecommunications and mainframe systems and
