Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, the Financial Specialist II is responsible for ensuring a smooth month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statement reporting process. Coordination of the reporting process for monthly internal financial statements and quarterly and year end audited financial statements is required including monitoring cash flows and distribution, calculation, and reconciliation of MOH/Ontario Health funding from multiple funding programs.

**Rate of Pay**: $46.79 per hour - $58.48 per hour

**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours per week

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of an College Diploma is Business, Finance or Accounting; Bachelor's Degree _preferred_
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
- Ontario Health Reporting Standards Level I & II _preferred_
- Minimum three (3) years of recent, related experience
- Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge; specifically Excel
- Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a consultative approach
- Demonstrated advanced ability to investigate and resolve problems and to work under pressure to meet rigid deadlines
- Advanced time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of how statistical and financial parameters interact to affect end of the day operating efficiencies
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at Lawson and LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC?s Visison, Purpose and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Teaching, Learning and Research**
- London Health Sciences Centre is proudly one of Canada?s largest acute-care teaching and research hospitals. **Immunization Requirements**:
