**Responsibilities**:
**Assisting the Chief Operating Officer in the following areas**:

- Overseeing the full cycle of translation requests and developing and providing effective language solutions to our clients;
- Managing a team of freelance translators and revisers;
- Identifying and assigning appropriate teams (translators and proofreaders/revisers) for individual assignments and projects; assigning deadlines and monitoring progress;
- Reviewing translation requests and assessing the need for additional information, e.g., glossaries, list of acronyms;
- Assisting with page formatting of incoming documents, where required;
- Maintaining and developing collegial work relationships with translators and revisers by offering timely solutions and support;
- Providing advice and recommendations on ways to improve overall service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Assisting the COO with basic accounting tasks, such as preparing and issuing invoices.

**Essential Experience, Education, Qualifications and Personal Attributes**:

- Recent demonstrated experience (min. 2 years) managing small to medium-sized projects and delivering language services, such as translation, copywriting, or editing (or other relevant services);
- A university or college degree in Communications, Languages, Translation, or a relevant combination of education and experience;
- Flawless command of French and English (written and spoken);
- Excellent organizational and file management skills (e.g., version control);
- Excellent formatting skills (Word); comfortable with Microsoft apps, incl. Excel;
- Ability to switch between tasks and remain **focused**, as well as to **identify priorities **to meet deadlines;
- Ability to **work effectively under pressure** and maintain a positive attitude;
- Meticulous **attention to detail**, fast learner, ability to **integrate feedback **systematically;
- **Logic; **take charge; **initiative**;

**Desirable Assets and Skills**:

- Familiar with computer assisted translation and workflow/project management tools, such as memoQ;
- Good knowledge of German;
- Experience as a translator/reviser (EN/FR).

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
