**About Demetres**
Demetres has been synonymous with ice cream and desserts since our founding in 1989. For over 35 years, we’ve been innovating and challenging what dessert experiences can be in our 14 restaurants across the Greater Toronto Area.
We are now taking our incredible ice creams and desserts and bringing them to more customers via our newly launched line of grocery retail products. We are introducing an entirely new category of artisanal ice creams to the Canadian retail landscape. Launched just last year, we’ve already won a number of awards for best ice cream in the nation.
We’re looking for the perfect person to take our fabulous ice creams and grow our retail presence. We’ve been fortunate to partner with many great retailers already, and we want to continue that momentum with even more amazing partners.
**About The Role**:
Working out of our corporate head office & production facility located in Woodbridge, you’ll be responsible for the sales and account management of our CPG line of products. You will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by being the primary account manager for all our key retail partners. You’ll develop and maintain relationships with new retail partners, including national retailer. You will identify new opportunities, and gain listings in all retail channels. You’ll develop and execute promo calendars and build win-win strategic plans. You will actively drive sales and win share at all existing retailers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain strategic growth plans, encompassing all retail channels
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential retail partners including directly calling on major retailer offices
- Negotiate and close sales deals
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the frozen & dessert categories, monitor market trends and competitor activities
- Gather, update, and analyze data and insights on sales performance
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, R&D, Production, Logistics)
- Participate in industry trade shows and events
- Manage trade spend and promo calendars
- Conduct store visits to ensure optimal product distribution, placement, and coverage
**Your Qualifications**:
- Minimum 3-5 years prior experience in sales in the retail industry, ideally in the frozen category
- Previous experience working with major retailers
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to drive sales process from planning to close
- Experience with national retailers systems (Retail Link, Loblaw Portal, etc.)
- Ability to work with CRM (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce), and ERPs
- Ability to travel to retailer sites on regular basis
