Whistler Operations Lead

This role has been crafted for someone who wants to know it all, not necessarily for someone who already does. Someone who’s keen to get stuck in, upskill and own it. You’ll bring most of the tools you need to build this role (motivation, organization and ambition to name a few), and we’ll supply you with the rest through hands-on experience and an epic team.
Leading operations from our Whistler location, you’ll become the ultimate resource for everything from customer service, production, bike installs, and sales/Tech Rep support. You’ll drive the team’s success daily whilst always looking for ways to improve using our 3 core values: Innovation, Precision and Community.
**The Responsibilities**
**Leadership and Production/Install Team Management**
- Manage and schedule production/install teams ensuring optimum output.
- Support, motivate and lead the teams through collaborative goal-setting and regular check-ins.
- Conduct daily catch-ups and meetings to set tasks for the day.
- Conduct weekly week-ahead meetings.
- Track and manage teams’ timesheets.
- Conduct performance check-ins ~3/year for team members, focusing on goal setting and motivation, and create and document KPIs for order fulfillment and team performance.
- On-board and train new team members.
**Production Processes**
- Lead operations in our Whistler facility including production, distribution, inventory, warehouse, and general building operations.
- Build up a knowledge of all printers - Roland, Summa, HP and Zebra printers.
- Troubleshoot production issues, printer errors, and kit design flaws and manage misprints library.
- Conduct/delegate printer maintenance bi-weekly: e.g. running test cuts.
- Re-load printers with film and print kits.
- Print and organize labels for covered/essential/covered+ kits.
- Check on orders.
- Queue up batches of shipments when necessary.
- Restock production supplies.
- Update production/processes manual.
- Maintain distribution spreadsheet.
- Maintain exceptional quality of order fulfillment with the goal of 100% accuracy.
- Streamline existing and new processes with the goal of 100% raw material efficiency.
**Install Processes**
- Managing install schedule/calendar.
- Supervise installation output/quality.
**Warehouse Management**
- Warehouse management (receiving) stock counts etc.
- Prepare pallets for shipping to other locations - must be prepared to lift up to 36lbs.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving of supplies, pallets, and bulk orders.
- Maintain Canadian warehouse and FIFO inventory and investigate any discrepancies.
- Fulfill supply orders from other locations.
- Optimize the warehouse space.
**Health and Safety**
- Encourage a strong Health & Safety oriented workplace and participate in H&S meetings.
- Ensure the shop is clean, tidy, and sanitized to meet the safety needs of the team and customers.
- Support People and Culture to create standardized H&S policies.
- Include standardized H&S in team training.
- Meet fire safety regulations as mandated by Fire Safety contacts.
**RideWrap HQ Management**
- Be the main point of contact for RideWrap HQ.
- Organize storefront display, merchandising, and bike storage.
- Organize building upkeep tasks (maintenance, internal cleans/tidy-ups, cleaner, landlord, fire safety)
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments for process improvements, events, and “all hands on deck” situations and step in with production/distribution and install when needed.
- Monitor cameras and alarms including battery changes and checks.
- Ensuring first-in and last-out team members are trained in open/close procedures.
- Supply orders and supply runs for the shop and manage shop supplies (e.g. Uline orders).
- Conduct shop runs to collect and return bikes from shops.
- Trash and recycling runs.
- LBS point of contact for S2S.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Experience organizing teams and processes.
- A high degree of organization, attention to detail, and level of professionalism.
- Degree or diploma in business administration is an asset.
- Self-starter and ambitious.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Gmail, G Suite, Word, Excel is essential.
**Other Requirements**
- Class 5 drivers license.
- Mountain Biking: 1 year (preferred).
- Customer Service: 1 year.
- Management experience: 2 years.
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English.
- Stoke for working in the bike industry.
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
