**Job Description - Accounting Supervisor**

Black Fly Beverage Company is a fast-growing producer of spirit-based beverages with a manufacturing plant in London Ontario, sales teams and retail distribution throughout Canada. This position is at Black Fly’s Head Office in London, Ontario and will be a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and lead the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and audit
- Review and verify the accuracy of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to management, providing insights into financial performance
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to accounting staff
- Collaborate with auditors and ensure timely completion of audits
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments
- Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records and transactions
- Assist in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
- Filing of documentation in preparation for year-end process
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Administration
- Audit experience preferred
- Proven experience in accounting, with at least 23+-5 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience working with an ERP preferred (Microsoft Business Central preferred)

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
