Overview:
**Location**: Within the GTA - Hybrid

**Status**: Contract/Full-Time

**Responsibilities**:

- Gather business requirements and identify opportunities for analytics and AI
- Extract, validate, and consolidate data from disparate sources
- Ensure compliance with data governance and architectural strategies
- Refactor and scale models for efficiency
- Deploy data preparation and model pipelines to client environments
- Present analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences using visualization tools
- Adhere to development best practices

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Computer Science/Computer Engineering degree with courses in Mathematics/Statistics; or Mathematics/Statistics degree with some technical exposure through Computer Science courses or technical projects
- 0-2 years of experience solving practical business problems
- Experience with data collection, data audits, cleaning/imputing, and deriving aggregate measures and business metrics
- Proficiency in Python with knowledge of data analysis, visualization, modeling, and deployment
- Experience with analytical tools and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational database management systems
- Solid understanding of statistical principles and distributions
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, would be an asset
- Knowledge of version control systems, DevOps, and collaborative toolsets
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
