Reporting to the General Manager, Finance, the Manager Pay and Bill is responsible for effective and efficient management of payroll for billing cycles. With a superior team spirit and aptitude for optimizing internal processes, this role manages a team of direct reports while maintaining budget, internal, corporate and client expectations.

**Tasks & Duties**
- Manage and oversee all payroll and billing activities and direct reports
- Liaise with stakeholders to meet client and corporate targets
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all payroll and billing related inquiries
- Conduct performance reviews and interviews for direct reports, and maintain records
- Identify opportunities for improvement and provide follow-up, positive and constructive feedback
- Prepare and obtains approval for all expenses
- Verify client reports and documents for accurate sign off (ACL reports etc.)
- Generate weekly reports and ensure submission to HQ on time
- Collaborate with front line management teams and complete all reconciliation requests identified through internal document process (MOER) or client requests
- Assist and support other departments as operationally required

**Education & Skills Required**
- Post secondary certification or related discipline
- Three (3) to four (4) years experience in a related field
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook)
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
