We are seeking an experienced and visionary individual to join our team in the role of Head of PR.
As Head of PR at JetBrains, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic public relations initiatives that enhance our brand reputation, visibility, and influence in the global marketplace. You will lead the crafting of compelling narratives, securing media coverage, and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders, including journalists, industry analysts, influencers, and community leaders.
As part of our team, you will:
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Cooperate with marketing and developer advocacy in shaping and maintaining JetBrains’ reputation on the market.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and industry thought leaders to secure positive coverage and endorsements for JetBrains and its products.
- Identify newsworthy opportunities, trends, and angles to generate media interest and coverage across traditional and digital channels.
- Serve alongside executive leadership and business and technical stakeholders as a key spokesperson for the company, representing JetBrains in media interviews, press conferences, and public speaking engagements.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to inform PR strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and executive leadership teams, to ensure alignment and integration of JetBrains’ PR efforts.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to effectively communicate key messages and announcements.
- Manage crisis and issue communication, proactively addressing potential reputational risks and mitigating negative publicity.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of PR initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or another related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in PR roles, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and agency partners towards achieving common goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages.
- Extensive media relations experience, with a deep network of contacts across traditional and digital media outlets within tech and business media.
- Strategic thinking ability with a proven track record of translating business objectives into actionable PR plans and initiatives.
- Crisis management expertise, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate challenging situations effectively.
- Proficiency in PR tools, analytics platforms, and media monitoring software.
- A passion for technology and software development, with a solid understanding of the developer ecosystem and industry trends.
