**Qualifications**:

- At least 1-2 years of related experience is required
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, architecture, or a similar field is required
- Productive time management, organizational skills
- Able to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Works well independently and as part of the project management team
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and projects at once
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Knowledge of software tools related to computer-aided design and drafting, construction estimation and takeoffs
- Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
- Knowledge of the latest building codes
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports

**Responsibilities**
- Perform project-specific quantity takeoffs for materials, labour and equipment
- Works closely with Senior Estimator and General Manager
- Obtain vendor, supplier and subcontractor pricing per project specifications and generate estimates
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and drawings
- Prepare cost analysis by capturing all material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs required
- Follow up on all proposals or bid forms as required
- Organize, plan and complete estimating work independently
- Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info
- Participate in field visits and pre-tender meetings, working closely with site developers, architects and other professionals whenever necessary
- Schedules meetings with clients and site managers as needed
- Monitor construction processes and report to General Manager
- Navigate and understand building codes
- Stay up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction

**Expectations**
- Prepare estimates of probable material costs, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
- Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
- Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Network, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
- Prepare cost, statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
- Monitor industry costs for materials and labour

Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
