As a rapidly growing municipality committed to quality service and a positive work environment, we are seeking talented professionals who want to make a difference in the community. The Public Safety and Social Development Department at the City of Chilliwack is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Victim Services Caseworker.
**Are you the one we’re looking for?**
**If you have the following knowledge, skills and abilities we encourage you to apply**:
- Must have some post secondary courses in Criminology or Social Sciences. - OR - an acceptable combination of education and experience;
- Experience working in a police agency or within the criminal justice systems would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with PRIME and/or JUSTIN would be considered an asset.
- Able to obtain and maintain RCMP Security Clearance
- Able to perform clerical, typing and receptionist duties with mínimal supervision;
- Able to be courteous, tactful and diplomatic in dealing with the public and be neat and presentable in appearance;
- Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with department officials and other members of staff;
- Able to qualify for and maintain the required security clearance for the position. Failure on the part of the employee to satisfy this requirement will necessitate the removal of that employee from the position.
