**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Dean of Residence and Student Life, the Coordinator, Student Wellness and Community Support (CSWCS) is primarily responsible for the development and delivery of health education programs and initiatives, providing one-on-one student support and case management, and facilitating training and professional development opportunities for students, staff, and facultyat the College.

The CSWCS’s work is rooted in scholarship and best practice. They are responsible for developing and implementing health-related educational programs and initiatives, including the identification of learning outcomes, pedagogical techniques, and evaluation methods. The incumbent collaborates with other student support staff at the College and key partners and services elsewhere at the University to ensure that New College students are holistically supported and equipped tothrive. They provide ongoing student support, make timely and informed referrals, and advocate for students, as needed.

The CSWCS works closely with the Dean of Residence and Student Life to inform key priorities and objectives. They are responsible for developing assessment tools, conducting detailed analyses, preparing reports, and communicating information to internal and external stakeholders.

The incumbent is also responsible for supervising a team of student-staff and working withstudent groups and student organizations at the College in the development and delivery of programs and initiatives. Although most work is conducted during regular business hours, evening and weekend work is sometimes required.

**Yourresponsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing new programs and initiatives independently
- Developing student assessment plans to support student learning outcomes and competencies
- Conducting a detailed analysis of student feedback and learning outcomes to inform program planning activities
- Developing content for instructional workshops
- Providing proactive support to individuals in distress and making referrals to specific university services
- Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Training and coaching student life staff and student leaders

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of case support work in the field of mental health and student support, with a minimum of three years of work in a post-secondary environment.
- Excellent understanding of equity and inclusion principles, especially as they relate to student health & well-being, and academic success.
- Experience in the development, delivery, and assessment of health-related educational programs and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals in crisis and/or experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
- Demonstrated experience working with student leaders, clubs, and organizations.
- Experience supervising staff, students, and/or volunteers.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), facilitation, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to make quick, sound judgments under pressure.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
