**Position Overview**:
As a Traveling Construction Superintendent, you will oversee and manage construction projects, primarily focusing on night shifts, such as grocery store remodels (e.g., Walmart) across South East Canada, with a base in Nova Scotia. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires extensive travel and working night shifts as per project requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Management**:

- Manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure goals are met.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that work is performed according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site.
- **Budget Management**:

- Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Review and approve project expenses, invoices, and change orders.
- **Communication**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges effectively to stakeholders.
- Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to on-site construction teams.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Train and mentor junior staff members as needed.
- **Travel and Night Shift Work**:

- Travel extensively to project sites across South East Canada, primarily in Nova Scotia.
- Work night shifts as required, ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Adapt to changing schedules and locations as per project demands.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role, preferably in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work night shifts as required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
