Humber’s Faculty of Media & Creative Arts offers the most comprehensive mix of media, arts and communications programs in Canada. We specialize in storytelling of all forms: journalism and writing; film, acting and television; advertising and public relations; interaction design and animation; music and fine arts. **Position Title**:Professor, Bachelor of Interior Design

**Status**:Part-Time Professor Contract (winter semester)

**Hours**: From 1-6 hours/week

**Faculty/Department**:Faculty of Media & Creative Arts

**Campus/Location**: North Campus, in-person course delivery

**Salary**:Starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience

**What you will do**:
The incumbent will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in committees and related associations. Teaching will be assigned at the North campus and may include teaching at other Humber Campuses as well as virtual/remote teaching as assigned.

The incumbent will also support student advising, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties.

**What you bring to the role**:

- NCIDQ certification and/or 5 years of industry-related experience are assets.
- Strong visual communication skills are highly desirable, in both manual drawing and CADD.
- Experience in a polytechnic post-secondary education setting, as well as coordinating project teams of learners working on industry projects a broad industry base are assets.
- Demonstrable experience integrating industry-led projects into curriculum as well as curriculum development are preferred.
- The incumbent should have a strong network of contacts with other professionals, organizations and industry stakeholders.
