Humber’s Faculty of Media and Creative Arts offers the most comprehensive mix of media, arts and communications programs in Canada. **Salary**: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees

**What you will do**:
As the incumbent you will help build the next generation of public relations and communications specialists. You will engage with the rapidly evolving requirements of the PR industry and translate them into curriculum and teaching practices that unlock the career potential of our students. You will inspire, challenge, and mentor talented young people, developing them into confident, capable professionals. You will work in a supportive and collegial environment to help build, maintain, and enhance a highly successful professional degree program. You will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement. You will engage and excite students with contemporary communications information delivered in creative ways, with a focus on applied learning. Working with a team of faculty, the incumbent’s expertise and content will leverage existing program outcomes, as well as work to support the entire program course deliverables. The incumbent will also support student advising, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties.

Teaching can be assigned at both the North and Lakeshore campuses and may include teaching at the International Graduate School (Toronto).

We are seeking Public Relations professionals with strong industry acumen and experience, along with a demonstrated ability to teach a number of courses offered by the college. The incumbent will bring, specialized skills in the following areas: business writing, public relations writing, feature writing and research writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery
- Demonstrated ability to coach and support students
- Understanding of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB)
- Commitment to and support of equity, diversity and inclusivity in classroom
- Previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
