**Job Details**

**Position Title**: Professor, Creative Technologies

**Status**: Full Time Faculty/Department: Faculty of Media & Creative Arts

**Campus/Location**:North campus (primary), other campuses (Lakeshore or Carier Drive) depending on applied research and project work

**Salary**: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees.

**What you will do**:
As a professor, you’ll empower a diverse group of learners to succeed in creatively leveraging technology to practically solve challenges. You will teach courses in the Interaction Design Cluster within the Faculty of Media & Creative Arts, particularly for Interactive Media Management - Creative Technologies. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include

individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.

**Experience and Skills**

Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior creative roles

Industry acumen and practical experience is required in several of the following areas:

- 3D modelling
- Applied research
- Computational arts
- Data analytics
- Fabrication
- Game development (Unreal, Unity)
- Immersive experiences
- Universal design
- Media production
- Networked hardware
- Virtual production (ICVFX)
- VR/AR/XR
- Web technologies
- Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles
- Engaging and effective teaching approaches, especially with hybrid delivery modes
- Previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
- Ability to evaluate student progress/achievement and assume responsibility for the overall assessment of the student’s work within assigned courses
- Coaching and student support skills, with experience managing classroom dynamics
- A student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, support staff, administrators and community stakeholders
- Commitment to a team approach for problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Understanding of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB)
- Ability to deliver curriculum in a manner that meets the needs of diverse learners
- Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning
- Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
