As we continue to invest in the future success of our students, Yorkville is seeking an inaugural **Dean of Liberal Arts, British Columbia** to play an integral role in Yorkville’s vision of transforming lives by championing academic excellence and innovation in education.

Reporting to the Vice-President Academic and BC Campus Principal, the Dean of Liberal Arts provides academic and professional leadership for the effective delivery of the Associate of Arts (AA) degree program and General Education Studies (GES) at the New Westminster Campus. They will collaborate with campus and national leadership, be a member of the National Curriculum Committee and chair the BC AA Curriculum Committee, leading program planning and development to ensure the quality and currency of the AA program. The Dean of Liberal Arts also oversees GES offerings, working with the Associate Dean of Business, BC and the GES Program Chair to ensure that the needs of the Bachelor of Business Administration students are met.

A seasoned and decisive leader, the Dean of Liberal Arts, BC will possess academic administrative experience particularly with respect to the ability to establish consensus and attract, inspire and lead faculty with diverse interests. They will be a builder, who will demonstrate a realistic understanding of the challenges, ambiguities and prospects that lie ahead. Essential to the role is a commitment to innovation in learning, entrepreneurship, principles of Indigeneity and reconciliation, and advancing academic excellence through diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability. An earned doctorate from a recognized university in humanities, social sciences or a related field is required.
