Amusement Event Planner

Our Amusement Event Planner & Sales Associate position focuses on clientele seeking rentals from one of our three divisions (Amusements, Décor & Tents). In this role you would work alongside our Tent & Event Sales as well as Décor sales team to ensure that clients looking for Amusement related product rentals are given excellent service and product/placement recommendations. In this role you will be working with professionals all over Atlantic Canada to plan events for communities, schools and corporate gatherings.
This role is perfect for an entry level sales professional to learn and grow within an exciting sector of the event rental industry at a highly recognised local company.
Glow offers a competitive compensation + commissions, as well as a well rounded benefits package. Schedule runs Monday through Friday with some exceptions.
Position Expectations:
- create and maintain relationships with prospective and current clients
- occasional onsite event coordination for larger bookings
- Complete site visits when required
- Answer inbound calls for all amusement inquiries
- Process payments and invoices
- Maintain and submit excellent notes
- Attend sales meetings and prepare required communications
- Keep up to date with products and packages
- Keep up to date with industry trends and products
- Follow up with clients and make outbound calls when required
- Attend trade shows and network with industry professionals
- Work with representatives from all forms of clientele
- Make recommendations to clients looking for event planning assistance
- work with the logistics team to ensure events are planned and executed appropriately and efficiently
- Ensure sales cycles are complete from first client contact to follow up and payment
- Must have excellent detail recall and be able to manage multiple accounts at once
- Flexibility in relation to tasks and responsibilities
- Must have great communication skills
- Relatable experience either in event coordination (such as through school programs or recreation background)
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new programs with ease
- Post-secondary education (Event management, Recreation Management) considered an asset.

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
