MacEwan University is seeking a Manager, Admissions Operations for a full-time continuing opportunity with the Office of the University Registrar.

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions, Recruitment, and Transfer, the position is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of all Admissions and Transfer processes and procedures in order to achieve the University’s strategic enrolment goals. The Manager provides ongoing leadership, guidance, mentorship, and operational direction for the Admissions and Transfer teams. As a key member of the Admissions, Recruitment, and Transfer leadership team, the incumbent works collaboratively with internal partners and manages a large team to achieve admission targets and quotas, develop and maintain an effective admission process, deliver an exceptional applicant experience.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leads and manages, through direct reports and subordinates supervisors, staff in the Admissions & Transfer team, including assigning and monitoring workload, preparing schedules, responding to emerging issues, approving timesheets and time off requests;
- Manages staffing resources within the team through effective recruitment, selection, training, coaching, leadership, supervision, professional development, and evaluation of staff while also promoting and contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes service excellence;
- Manages labour costs to ensure the most effective utilization of resources while responding to regular operations and fluctuations in the business;
- Oversees operations of the Canadian/domestic and international undergraduate admissions and transfer credit assessment;
- Develops plans to build on current services and the evolving needs of the Admissions and Transfer departments, in alignment with the Strategic Vision;
- Participates in-, and contributes to-, budget, strategic, and operational planning processes as a member of the leadership team within the OUR;
- Advises campus partners on Admissions & Transfer policies, processes, deadlines, and other important information;
- Develops and maintains relationships with instructors, faculty, leaders in Faculties and Schools, and other key stakeholders within MacEwan; and
- Collaborates with Student Information Systems and Information Technology Services (ITS) regarding admissions technologies and tools and on prioritizing system enhancements and projects.
