The CDA requires an experienced Manager, Digital Planning and Integration

We are looking for an experienced senior business analyst with a background in Information Technology and Digital Information Management, a well-rounded generalist who has “been there, done that” and would love to guide a small but mighty medical specialty association, to enable internal and external business processes with new technology that will better manage internal operations and support its
800 members.

You will serve as our in-house IT planner, business analyst and technology support/integration coordinator, as the CDA currently uses third party service providers for the bulk of operational and project related activities.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations, as the sole technology expert on staff, the Manager will be responsible for reviewing and assessing business needs against internal and external business drivers, developing appropriate strategies, overseeing the Association’s digital architecture, business system support and technical support both on a day-to-day basis and renewal project basis. The Manager

will also be responsible for managing and overseeing the full lifecycle of data and information management assets within CDA.

Business Analysis and Technology Planning: Your role consists of leading the analysis of business processes utilized within the CDA to deliver services to our members, to support efficient internal operations, and to develop risk assessments, business cases, project proposals and technology strategies that will address internal and external risk, create efficiencies and/or benefits/savings in our existing service delivery model.

Digital Information Management: Your role consists of leading the development, implementation and management of a strong digital information management policies, standards, procedures guidelines and practices, and tools to ensure that the CDA manages its data, information records and knowledge in accordance with operational, fiscal, legal and legislative requirements.

You will be responsible for the integration of records and information management principles into the
CDA business processes and into the design and operation of information technology systems to drive efficiencies and value to the CDA’s operational needs.

You are a thought leader, and a trusted advisor who will lead in a fast-paced high energy environment, assisting staff and senior leadership with all aspects of using technology to support the business. This key leadership position regularly interacts with staff, management, will manage external IT consultants, and vendors, as required.

Key Accountabilities:

- Support management by providing vision, leadership, and direction in the management of digital information and information technology operations in a cloud-based environment.
- Identify key business processes that would benefit from review or automation of tasks for risk and/or efficiency.
- Conduct business reviews and business analysis and develop risk assessments, business cases, project proposals/plans and technology strategies.
- Provide management, support and evolution of the Association’s digital enterprise architecture and related automated systems.
- Develop request for proposal documents and conduct competitive processes to engage vendors and service providers to provide services to the Association on an on-going and project basis, and negotiate/manage related contracts, service level agreements, etc.
