As the functional expert on HR Information Technology (IT), the Advisor oversees and manages the provision of all Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Develops and promotes a holistic view of the HR IT ecosystem and its fit within the corporate IT landscape. Develops and manages the HR IT roadmap including all HR information systems, architectures, capability, performance and integration. Develops and manages the HR IT business strategy, plans and integration framework.

Collaborates extensively with stakeholders; guides and facilitates prioritization of IT issues within the HR community, and acts as focal point and interface between HR, other business units and IT service providers. Fosters an integrated 360 degree view of issues at the corporate level, and advocates for strategic and sound decisions that enable HR to achieve its mission and optimize its value to the business, team leaders and employees.

**Responsibilities**:
Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Advisor, HR IT Strategy and Integration.
- Working in a complex environment and collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, researches, develops and manages the current state mapping of all HR IT systems and tools at both micro and macro levels. This includes facilitating sessions with senior executives to establish strategic priorities, developing business cases, making presentations to stakeholders to advocate for future development of HR systems to ensure business needs are met.
- Promotes a synthesized, integrated view of the IT landscape and issues to enable informed decision-making toward shared goals. Fosters an integrated 360 degree view of issues at the corporate level, and advocates for strategic and sound decisions that enable HR to achieve its mission and optimize its value to the business, team leaders and employees.
- Develops, recommends and maintains the HR IT strategy and roadmap, defining the path to modernize HR IT, align it with HR business needs and enable further improvements in decision making capabilities and service delivery.
- Acts as primary contact for IT service providers and partners with HR process and policy owners and HR operational directors to establish and prioritize annual HR system projects and initiatives aligned to the corporate and HR strategy.

**Job Responsibilities (continued)**:

- In consultation with Process and Policy owners, Business Partners and Generalists, works to ensure integrated, efficient, cost-effective and high-quality HR system delivery that leverages existing functionality, complies with corporate policy, process and system standards and aligns with future requirement.
- Manages the system requirements and cost estimate aspects of business cases; collaborates closely with Finance and IT service provider to ensure appropriate costs and resources are identified and included to meet Investment/project requirements.
- Collaborates extensively with the corporate data governance team to improve integration and leverage full value of corporate and HR data while ensuring security and privacy are protected.
- Conducts extensive internal and external research in IT, business and HR trends, corporate strategy, capabilities and direction. Develops and provides recommendations to HR leadership on how to better leverage HR systems and data to improve insights, value and services.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Completed post-secondary, preferably in a related field **OR** a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.

**Experience**
- 3 to 5 years of relevant functional experience.
- 2 or more years’ experience managing people.
- One or more years of experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent team building and leadership skills and experience.
- Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decision-making skills with proven abilities in problem solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
