Amelin Property Management is actively seeking a maintenance professional to join our team responsible for an apartment building in Hamilton, ON. If you possess expertise in general maintenance tasks and aspire to be part of the Amelin team, this opportunity might be your ideal fit

We offer benefits following a probationary period of three months. **Please note - this is a live-in position.**

Your role may encompass various responsibilities, including but not limited to:

- Conduct routine inspections of the building to promptly identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or occupants.
- Coordinate and work with existing staff to help complete work orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and secure work environment for all building residents.

Specific duties in the areas of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and common area maintenance include:
**General Plumbing Tasks**:

- Replacing faucets, taps, toilets, valves, shower heads, tap washers, and more.
- Handling plumbing fixtures, such as plunging toilets and using a snake.
- Addressing leaks, flex lines, P-traps, and other plumbing-related issues.

**General Electrical Responsibilities**:

- Swapping light switches, fluorescent tubes, receptacles, and more.
- Replacing burnt-out ballasts.

**General Carpentry Work**:

- Changing countertops, door locks, mail locks, doors, closets, cupboards, and more.
- Repairing and maintaining cabinets, kick plates, towel bars, hinges, drawer slides, and drywall issues like cracks and holes.

**Hallways & Stairwells**:

- Repairing common area deficiencies, including faulty door closures, plaster issues, graffiti, tile and carpet repairs, and more.

This role is physically demanding and prioritizes adherence to safety protocols. A satisfactory reference check and clearance of criminal records are prerequisites for this position, with accommodation provided as required by law.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
