**About the position**

The _Strategic Engagement Manager_ cultivates relationships with key partners and stakeholders and continuously builds and maintains our networks. The Strategic Engagement Manager collaborates and coordinates with partners in Indigenous communities, government, the nonprofit sector, and community groups, and works closely with program staff to support projects and initiatives. The Strategic Engagement Manager oversees communications with partners and the public. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Strategic Engagement Manager supports the strategic direction of the organization and its positioning in the community.

**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain community and partner networks.
- Support the Executive Director in building and managing critical partner relationships.
- Attend meetings with Indigenous, local, provincial and federal partners and working groups.
- Develop and implement communications strategies.
- Share information about our projects to partners, stakeholders, and the public.
- Manage website and social media accounts for key organization messaging.
- Produce reporting as required.
- Support program staff through various engagement activities.

**Qualifications**
- 2+ years of experience in a related role.
- Strong written communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to prioritize key objectives.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Wordpress, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Experience in community building and/or working with rights holders and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of biodiversity conservation and sustainable communities is an asset.
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector is an asset.

**Work term and rate**
- 1 year contract with possibility of renewal based on funding availability
- Office located at 103 Park Street, Moncton.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
