**Bookkeeper and Accounting Clerk**
As a buying agent, the effective administration of our accounts receivables, payables, and related administration is at the heart of what we do. Today we’re looking for someone to take over the role and become the linchpin of our business.
You’ll perform a range of clerical, accounting, administration and bookkeeping support functions for our buying group and paint and product distribution centre. That includes:
**Accounts Receivable**
- Prepare and submit member invoices
- Prepare and coordinate deposit activities
- Perform all necessary account, bank, and other reconciliations
**Accounts Payable**
- Check, verify, and process invoices to purchase orders and packing slips
- Report discrepancies to vendor & track credit / debit notes to correct
- Input invoice data into accounting system
**General Functions**
- Update, verify, and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
- Assist in month end reporting procedures
- Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks
- Liaise with other departments / members / vendors

This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday from our Edmonton location. We’re easily accessible by transit and have parking too.
**Qualifications**
- Experience in clerical accounting, including AR and AP
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Advanced Excel (macros and formulae), MS Office, and knowledge of accounting software
- If you have French language fluency, we’d be tickled pink
- As this is a three person office, punctuality and reliability are of key importance.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
