**What we seek**:
OCHC is currently seeking a dedicated Waste Diversion and Administration Student, work as part of a team that is responsible for general exterior maintenance, including keeping property sites clean of debris and preventing illegal dumping. Under the guidance of the Property Manager, the Waste Diversion and Administration Student will support our communities with waste disposal education and enforcement.

Improving the cleanliness of our properties through waste diversion practices is a main priority at our organization. As the Waste Diversion and Administration Student, **you will play a key role in ensuring **tenants feel a sense of pride and ownership living in our communities.**

**As a Waste Diversion and Administration Student, some of the things you will do include**:

- Clean debris from Ottawa Community Housing Sites.
- Investigate improper waste disposal for education purposes.
- Implement strategies to reduce bad habits at earth bins, recycling and organics waste facilities.
- Develop and expand key messaging to tenants about environmental impacts of improper disposal of waste.
- Support existing communities with implementation/ enforcement of organics and recycling programs.
- Help support upcoming waste diversion projects in our communities.
- Produce letters and information packages including fines for violators of proper waste disposal practices.
- Other related tasks may be assigned as required.

**Work conditions**:
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) on-site position.
