**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and in collaboration with the Leadership Team, the Director People, Talent, and Culture is accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction to all facets of human resources management ensuring that all HR programs and initiatives are integrated and effective in support of the mission, values, and business strategy of Nucleus Independent Living.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Directly participates in executive planning and decision making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Establishes and implements short
- and long-range HR goals, objectives, policies and procedures and monitors and evaluates these closely to ensure alignment with organizational strategy. Effects changes required for improvement.
- Directs and co-ordinates the administration of collective agreements and negotiation of same for union-represented employees.
- Provides direction to the organization’s Total Recognition and Rewards program ensuring such programs ensuring legislative requirements and competitive salaries and benefits necessary to attract and retain qualified staff.
- Establishes and directs a Talent Management program, including recruitment and selection strategies, and workforce shaping and succession planning that will enable the organization to meet its strategic directions.
- Establishes and leads organizational development and EDI initiatives that will enable individual staff and the organization to determine and achieve their strategic objectives.
- Develops annual departmental budget.
- Acts as advisor to the CEO on human resource matters.
- Develops, implements, and directs a performance management process to support retention, succession, and employee development.
- Serves as a champion for Nucleus’ culture and corporate values to promote excellence and ensure recognition as a top place to work. Develops strategies to support a positive employee experience enabling the culture to bring organizational values to life.
- Directs and administers an occupational health and safety service that reflects a commitment to safety and accident prevention.
- Ensures that all legislative requirements are met.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 5 years related human resources generalist experience.
- CHRP designation required; CHRL preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of employment related legislation is required.
- Previous experience managing in a unionized environment is required.
- Project Management experience an asset.
- Demonstrated passion for people and proving exceptional service.
- Creative, resourceful, energetic, and positive approach.
- Detail driven individual that can deliver results under highest expectations on time and quality.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate.
- Flexibility to think outside the box and adjust course when appropriate.
- Effective communication skills with a variety of audiences in English (verbal and written); fluency in French is an asset.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and on-call as required.
- Ability to travel to multiple work site locations.

**SPECIAL CONDITIONS**
- A Criminal Record Check will be conducted prior to and periodically throughout employment
- Flexibility required to occasionally work extended hours and weekends, as the need arises.
