Key Responsibilities
- The Portfolio Director will be the key point of contact for day-to-day management of the POD / portfolio of client's business with the ability to sell new ideas and solutions
- Point of contact for senior clients that fosters a strong 'partnership' versus vendor relationships
- Delivers and or exceeds client expectations as measured through the agency's Rocketman Client Success tool/score
- Delivers against measurable POD Scorecard and related metrics
- Create a sense of professional acumen that delivers timely results with cross functional team to bring creative solutions to existing and prospective clients that drives organic growth
- Mentor and develop team and direct them in agency excellence as related to agency and client service process and operational routines
- Inspire and develop junior team members & build bench strength and future organizational talent as measured by the Cultural Index Score
- Lead multiple projects at once and ensure strong integration across the agency that eventually enables opportunity for role to evolve to Sr. Portfolio Director
- Active contributor of agency culture and advancement through being a champion of the Book of Orange / Values & Beliefs
Key Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree / diploma in a related discipline – business, marketing, communications and or design thinking – CX principles
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in an integrated agency with direct experience in brand/marketing/communications/strategy/CX design/digital
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage complexity, high volume and competing priorities
- Ability to distill project requirements into detailed briefs and proposals for creative and studio teams
- Experience in cross-channel integrated marketing (traditional and digital) and program planning
- Experience managing P&L, budget & financial tracking, analyzing data, and reporting against success measures/scorecards
- Strong commercial and business acumen with a business-first mindset
- Aptitude for marketing and creative solutions
- Highly motivated, with the ability to build solid client relationships and source opportunities to drive organic growth in pursuit of portfolio and client account expansion
- Ability to identify strategic needs, lead aspects of portfolio planning with sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with key business stakeholders
- Has strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate thinking into well-crafted presentations & compelling communications (eg. strong at writing and articulating client decks, pitches, proposals)
- Ability to manage and mentor with high integrity, and the ability to inspire others
- Ability to manage business initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment
- Skilled and proficient knowledge of functional agency departments, capabilities and service areas
- Understanding of a range of industries, markets and brands, and what it takes to stand out and service them
