**Schedule**: Monday - Friday, eight-hour workday with a flexible start time between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

**Location**: Remote (within in the Calgary Zone)

**Salary**:$75,000 - $85,000/year (salary determination based on skills, education and experience)

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to join our team to drive excellence in all facets of HR operations. You will use your investigative nature, initiative, analytical skills, and your extensive understanding of employment law to advise client groups in support of their business needs. You will spearhead the optimization efforts of our HR technology systems, improving efficiency in process and the quality of data.

This is a true generalist role with a large scope, allowing you to practice and develop in every aspect of the HR profession. You will be responsible for providing support in all areas of HR, including employee relations, talent acquisition, professional practice and compliance, onboarding and orientation, total rewards, health, safety, and wellness, performance management, data management and reporting, and HR system optimization.

**Responsibilities**:
**Employee relations**
- Provide coaching and assistance to managers as they navigate the employee lifecycle, including corrective actions and leave management.
- Facilitation and management of employee leaves and returns to work.
- Identify potential employee relations issues, escalating and resolving as needed.
- Assist in conducting full scope investigations where required.

**Talent acquisition**
- Prepare employment contracts and offer packages.
- In conjunction, or to provide backup support to the Recruiter, assist with full-cycle recruitment.

**Professional practice and compliance**
- Assist in the research, creation, and implementation of HR policies, practices, and procedures that are legislatively compliant and support organizational values.
- Build trust-based relationships with client group leadership as a foundation to foster discussions regarding the needs of the business.
- Provide legislation and policy interpretation as well as HR program support to managers and employees.

**Total rewards**
- Conduct job evaluations and make salary determinations, ensuring internal equity and alignment with the market.
- Participate in annual compensation review, including relevant surveys, market research, and creating total rewards statements for employees.

**Performance management**
- Implement and maintain performance management processes, including goal setting and performance evaluations.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.

**Administration, data management and reporting, and system optimization**
- Create and disburse various employee letters, including offers, terminations, and leaves of absence.
- Manage administrative aspects of the benefit program and HRIS system.
- Conduct comprehensive audits, gather relevant data, and report on key HR metrics.
- Optimize HR technology systems to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and improve data accuracy.

**Health, safety, and wellness**
- Review and track OHS incident reports and take appropriate action.
- Participate in worksite inspections, organizing training, and reviewing and updating program components.
- Manage WCB claims.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**: A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related discipline is required. Equivalencies of education may be considered.

**Experience**: A minimum of three years’ experience in an HR generalist capacity is required. Experience in the healthcare industry is an asset. Equivalencies of experience may be considered.

**Certification**: Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.

**Functional knowledge**: Demonstrated knowledge of provincial employment legislation, employee relations practices, and the HR competency framework.

**Technical**: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Visio. Experience with HRIS systems (UKG).

**Background check**: A clear criminal background check and education verification are required to start.
