Join our team at Cryptotherm Manufacturing Inc. as a Human Resources Generalist and Payroll Clerk, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our employees are supported and our payroll processes are accurate and efficient.

**Responsibilities**:
Human Resources:

- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding processes, by preparing job descriptions, posting job ads, reviewing resumes, and managing the interview and hiring process
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including employee information and records, ROEs, attendance, vacation, bonuses, medical leave
- First point of contact for all employee related matters and investigating employee complaints and recommending dispute resolutions.
- Providing support to managers and employees on HR-related inquiries and issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment legislations, health and safety regulations
- Coordinating employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Assisting in employee relations activities, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Scheduling and/or administering employee training and researching continued education opportunities for employees
- Collaborate in the development of new HR programs and the review and improvement of HR processes.
- Planning morale boosting employee events such as new employee welcomes, birthday celebrations, bereavement gifts/cards, and yearly staff parties
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Payroll:

- Accurately processing payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Calculating and inputting wage and salary adjustments, deductions, and bonus payments.
- Reviewing and reconciling timesheets, addressing any discrepancies or issues.
- Preparing payroll reports, tax filings, and other related documentation.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and providing exceptional customer service.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in human resources and payroll administration.
- Have an in-depth understanding of Alberta HR related employment legislation and HR professional best practices
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online payroll software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to challenges.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) an asset.
