Development Coordinator

LEVEL: Junior to Intermediate
REPORTS TO: Development Manager
JOBS: 1
Working directly with the Development Manager as a key member of the Development Team, your job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Researching potential development sites to support feasibility analyses.
- Preparing requests for proposals and coordinating the bid process for outside consultants.
- Preparing presentations as required to advance the development process
- Preparing schedules and regular status updates for on-going development projects
- Assisting in developing and updating proformas and confirming current costs using available data
- Performing general administration duties such as preparing correspondence, digital file organization, coordinating and taking minutes of meetings
- Communicating and working with outside consultants for development projects
- Communicating and working with other departments to complete assigned tasks.
- Liaising with project stakeholders
- Attending construction meetings as required
- Attending council meetings as required
- Attending staff meetings
- Performing other duties, as required
You MUST have the follow qualifications:
- University degree in business administration, project management, land use planning, or real estate development and financing, or related field
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar position in the real estate development industry, municipal planning, or similar related industry
- Knowledge and understanding of project management principles
- Knowledge and understanding of real estate property development and construction, and related business concepts, processes, and practices
- Effective planning, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (scheduling software)
- Excellent MS Office skills - Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Access to a vehicle for visiting project sites, consultant offices and city halls of various municipalities
The primary work location will be in a professional office at our headquarters in North Vancouver with potential to work remotely certain days of the week. There will be work trips to client and consultant offices throughout Greater Vancouver, as well as various worksites.
