**Canada Summer Job Program**

This role is a part of the Canada Summer Jobs initiative to support youth in obtaining quality temporary work experiences. Contract lengths for 2023 are 8 weeks, working 35 hours per week in a hybrid working model. Anticipated contract dates will fall between June 5, 2023, and September 1, 2023. Participants of Canada Summer Job roles must meet the following requirements:

- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Must be able to work all 8 weeks consecutively

**Hourly Rate: $16.50**

**We are currently seeking one full-time contract Intake Support Assistant**. As an Intake Support Assistant you will provide administrative service support to the Outreach and Housing teams. The incumbent also provides support for our annual Food drive and maintenance of our care and food closet. CMHA Peel Dufferin has adapted to a hybrid working model including a mix of on-site and remote work. Staff are required to have onsite presence 2-3 times, or more if needed, to meet client and/or program needs.

Location: 60 West Drive, Brampton

**What you will do**
- Assist with updating reporting templates to assist with reporting compliance
- Assisting with following up with Clients on the By Name List confirming demographic information.
- Update resource page for our outreach and housing teams
- Update/streamline administrative process maps
- Support management through organizing and replenishing of our care and food closet
- Coordinate and administratively support our annual Food drive
- Provide reception coverage on a rotational basis
- Attend team meetings and huddles
- Minute taking as required
- Other duties as assigned

**What you need to join our team**
- Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in social work, social services and/or psychology
- Previous administrative experience, as well as experience working with client/patient related or driven databases would be an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills both in person and over the phone
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and to prioritize tasks in a manner that meets staff needs and program objectives
- Proof of administered full-series Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date. If unable to be vaccinated for reasons relating to protected grounds under the Code, completed medical or religious exemption must be provided.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
