**SUMMAR**Y**:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing customer-specific inventory, consigned inventory and general warehouse stock. The Inventory Specialist collaborates with the Customer Service and Sales teams to review and manage zero on hand reports and analyze and adjust minimum/maximum stocking levels at the warehouse and for industrial vending solutions. Tasks also include analyzing item class, velocity, fluctuations, generating ad-hoc inventory reports, consignment reconciliations, database management and problem-solving any issues regarding stocking levels.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Collaborate with sales, customer service and the customer with zero-on-hand, minimums and maximums and stocking levels
- Collaborate with sales reps across the country to review special customer requirements or needs related to inventory
- Review fluctuations in inventory use and production in collaboration with sales and customers
- Manages database validation steps to ensure database accuracy, including:

- Adding and removing items, updating status from active to discontinued and maintaining part numbers and suppliers via ACD (Add Change Delete) process across multiple inventory databases (vending and ERP)
- Maintains the inventory database in the vending system (AutoCrib software); including initial item set up in Autocrib
- Transferring and redeploying inventory to appropriate stocking locations
- Generate ad-hoc inventory reports through SQL queries
- Research and execute customer vending returns
- Provide support by monitoring and responding effectively and in a timely manner to requests received through the inventory helpdesk
- Analyze and review item warehouse/consignment velocity and usage trends to recommend stock status changes and purchase path changes
- Coordinating with internal partners on inventory exposure (active, slow and inactive) and identify solutions to develop plans for inventory redeployment, returns, etc.
- Perform any general needs for consigned inventory along with special projects as required by management
- Other duties as assigned
- Reports to the Inventory Manager

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- 2+ years of related inventory management experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or certification equivalency preferred
- Work independently or as part of a team, changing gears when required, and multitasking
- Ability to analyze inventory data and plan appropriate stocking levels
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; self-starter and self-disciplined
- Sound judgment and shrewd decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent computer skills: Internet Research and intermediate to advanced MS office (Word, Outlook, Teams) and data entry is required; highly proficient in Excel including pivot tables and V Look Ups; SQL and Prophet21 (P21) experience a plus
- Work under pressure of deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude and calm demeanor
- Accuracy and attention to detail required
- Ability to work with little or no supervision

- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
- May travel up to 10% of the time to visit a DGI office for various meetings
