This position leads the integrated strategic marketing, communications and

student engagement activities to support the Faculty of Social Work’s long term goals and objectives. The Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing an integrated marketing and communications plan that encompasses both undergraduate and graduate programs and the larger social work community with the goal of engaging students and the community and aiding recruitment. This involves highlighting the Faculty, faculty members and student accomplishments through various mediums. The Coordinator will also act as a liaison to students to find ways to better engage students in the program outside of the classroom with the goal of creating a better student experience.

This position is located in Regina but is responsible for communications and engagement activities at both the Regina and Saskatoon campuses.

The Coordinator reports to and will work closely with the Faculty of Social Work Faculty Administrator to carry out the following primary responsibilities of the position:

- Strategic marketing and communications
- Create an integrated marketing and communications plan that promotes faculty members and their accomplishments, helps recruit new students and engages the social work community;
- Build a defined brand for the Faculty of Social Work that is in line with the University of Regina’s branding standards;
- Manage the Faculty’s website, social media, promotional material and external communications; and
- Promote the Faculty through different mediums, including print and video, that incumbent creates themselves or through collaboration with other units on campus.
- Student engagement
- Create opportunities for student engagement outside the classroom that aid in professional development and allow for increased student interaction; and
- Liaise with Students’ Societies to identify events they want to host and provide support to them as needed.
- Student recruitment
- Work with academic advisors to coordinate recruitment strategies for new and existing markets for both undergraduate and graduate programs; and
- Determine the most effective use of limited resources when looking at which recruitment events to attend.
- Financial management
- Work with the Faculty Administrator to develop a marketing and communications budget and ensure that activities carried out are in line with the budget.

Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

Position Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business administration or related areas such as public relations or communications, preferably with a specialization in marketing or communications;
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing and communications including developing marketing plans;
- Must have extensive knowledge of marketing, communications and engagement strategies;
- Exceptional communication (oral and written) skills to write reports, create content (print and video) and interact with stakeholders;
- Good understanding of basic research methods to do environmental scans, surveys and material gathering to produce various documents and conduct needs assessments;
- Must have direct experience working with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint;
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities;
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; and
- Ability to travel on an irregular basis - approximately 2-3 times a year.

Physical Demands Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $62,909-$84,893 Status Term Work Hours

8:15 am to 4:30 pm
