The Stakeholder Engagement Officer, reporting directly to the Director of Operations, is responsible for SSILC’s ESRP objectives in the general categories of employer engagement, relationship management, communication and coordination.

We need someone who will bring personal and professional values consistent with the Independent Living (IL) philosophy, inclusion principles along with knowledge, skills, andabilities developed through life experiences as a person with a disability and/or an awareness of issues experienced by persons with disabilities that impact employability and self-sufficiency.

Position Highlights
- Actively engage with potential employers, like-minded agencies, the community and all stakeholders that may support consumers to connect with other community resources as well as employers
- Develop partnering relationships with the government income support program
- Network with community agencies to ensure awareness of the program
- Background in humanities, social work, public policy, communications or public administration, with a demonstrated ability to work with a broad cross-section of volunteers, advocates, politicians and the public

**Qualifications**:

- University Bachelor's Degree
- Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal), with a considerable degree of comfort working with individuals, stakeholders, non-profit and for-profit organizations and government programs
- Prepare and deliver presentation for other stakeholder
