**Pylon Electronics Inc.** seeks an individual with the skills and qualifications to fill a full-time position as a Metrology/Instrumentation Calibration Technician in our Richmond - BC facility. This person would report directly to the Technical Supervisor on the day-to-day calibrations.

Pylon Electronics Inc. is an ISO 17025-certified calibration facility supporting electronic and physical test equipment and is one of the largest Canadian Owned Calibration Laboratories. Pylon Electronics has a solid reputation in the repair and calibration of measuring instruments. We have six laboratories which are located in Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Richmond, and Dartmouth, along with our Technical Sales office in Montreal.

**Job Summary**:
As a Metrology/Instrumentation Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for the calibration and maintenance of measurement and testing instruments. You will ensure that all equipment complies with the required standards and specifications, contributing to the high-quality outputs of our processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform calibrations on a wide range of measurement instruments, including electrical (multimeters, oscilloscopes, powers supplies etc), pressure gauges, temperature equipment, dimensional items, torque/force items, in our Richmond lab and at customer sites.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration results, including certificates and other documentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair instruments as needed to ensure they meet required accuracy standards.
- Assist in developing and maintaining calibration procedures in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025).
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely calibration and reduce downtime.
- Stay up to date with advancements in metrology and instrumentation calibration techniques.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the calibration lab.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Associate’s degree in Metrology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or Instrumentation Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on calibration experience.

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of calibration procedures and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025).
- Proficiency in using calibration software and maintaining calibration databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have a valid driver's licences.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Certification from a recognized metrology or calibration organization (e.g., ASQ CCT).
