As the GIS Coordinator, you will provide leadership for effectively and efficiently delivering spatial information services including analytical strategic research, assessment and evaluation related to existing and emerging technologies in the geomatics field with a specific focus on

Geographic Information Systems. You will lead the development, implementation, and administration of the corporate GIS program and participate in establishing GIS standards and procedures.

**Job Duties**

Leads the development, implementation and maintenance of SaskWater’s GIS program and provides technical advice and support for corporate use of GIS to optimize decision-making.

Administers 3rd party licensing and assesses licensing requirements and maintains ESRI (ArcGIS Online/Enterprise) license records. Administers and maintains SaskWater’s Record Drawings and plans database according to the records management policy and Water Systems (WS) filing system. Converts and loads data onto file servers and/or geo-databases to ensure data backup and assists with data security requirements.

Supports the Asset Management unit and performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 4 years of progressively more responsible experience in the following areas:

- Geospatial technology and direct experience leading change and technology enhancements.
- Knowledge of Surveying, GPS, remote sensing and related processes.
- Knowledge of digital drafting software such as AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, R or other Data Analytics package.
- Working knowledge of standard engineering practices and procedures and ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work in a team while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and promoting and maintaining a positive corporate climate.
- Working knowledge of front line supervisory and time management skills and the ability to train staff.
- **Special Requirements**:_ _The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license is required._
