**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Principal Investigator.

This Recurring part-time position is an hourly position with variable hours. Recurring part-time employees are hourly employees engaged to perform work on an irregular schedule.

**Position Description**

**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):

- Under general supervision & direction of the PI
- Assist with performing basic duties
- Clean and put away labware and equipment
- Reliable and safe operation of all laboratory equipment
- Data Entry
- Keep laboratory and work area clean and safe
- Ensures supplies and lab equipment are clean and well stocked
- Assist other lab personnel (technical and trainees) when required

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree or High School Diploma preferred
- At least 3 months in the research field
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment
- Ability to follow strict laboratory methodologies routinely
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of complex technical equipment
- WHMIS
