District Clerk

Your responsibilities as a District Clerk will include:
- Ensures the ongoing maintenance and general repair of vehicles. Assesses vehicle problems reported by staff. Ensures Validation Tags and other documents are up to date. Ensures appropriate decommissioning of police vehicles.
- Ensures required equipment is available, maintained in good working order, present in vehicles and serviceable. Tracks down missing equipment. Makes recommendations for acquisition of replacement or new/additional equipment.
- Oversees contracted services, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the contract. Provides direction for remedy of deficiencies. Makes recommendations for the severance of contracted service providers.
- Monitors and maintains adequate inventories of required equipment and forms used by Front Line Officers and Support Staff. Orders and receives equipment and supplies.
- Performs and reports compliance audits on portable radios, vehicles, first aid kits, bio-hazard kits, fire extinguishers and cell phones.
Your qualifications for the role of District Clerk will include:
- Physical strength to load and store supplies within Fleet vehicles (the heaviest weight being 50lb boxes)
- A valid Class G driver’s license and a good driving record, as this position requires driving vehicles
- Good verbal and written communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive internal working relationships
- Good planning skills, good judgment and great attention to detail and accuracy, to organize own work, assess information quickly and accurately, provide appropriate solutions to fleet issues
- Ability to follow procedures and deal effectively with changing priorities
Note: The successful applicant will need to pass a background check to the satisfaction of the Service which will include reference checks with previous employers, verification of educational achievements, and a criminal background screen.

**Compensation**: The hourly rate of pay is $34.22 per hour with 4% vacation pay.
