**Your Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Unit Manager, as a member of the Allied Health Rehabilitation Units teams, the Instructor will provide support to Unit 35 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital (RDRHC), as well as virtual supports to the SAGE Unit in Two Hills, and the DOAR Unit in Daysland. The Instructor will support, plan, deliver and evaluate the different components of ongoing education, including Required Organizational Learning (ROL) for Nursing and Allied Health staff in these programs. The Instructor is responsible for: Provision of in-service and just-in-time education. Assessing learning needs of staff and utilize principles of adult education to plan, implement and evaluate programs meeting these needs. Collaborating in planning, developing, implementing and revising of education programs. Facilitating attendance at educational sessions. Participate and support Quality Council on the Units. Encourage use of available education resources. Acting as a resource regarding access to internal/external continuing education and professional development programs. Participating in own continuing education that promotes professional personal growth. Guiding and promoting the development of clinical knowledge and skills in Nursing and Allied staff and collaborating in the development of best practice and evidence based rehabilitation nursing practice standards. The successful applicant will also be responsible for supporting the coordination of patient discharge planning as a member of the team on Unit 35.

**Description**:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). **Additional Required Qualifications**:

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Formal educator/instructor experience. Minimum 2 years' experience in rehabilitation and neurology nursing. The appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered.
