- Lead a team of unionized employees to optimize production efficiency
- Accountable for all safety and environmental hazards in their areas, including the reviewing and planning all safety work orders, prioritizing line’s backlog with LIT and team members
- Establish the core team for the manufacturing line and identify training opportunities
- Work with GM, BPM-C and line team to ensure that the team is progressing according to ABI standards including the sign off of their learning program
- Develop and monitor production plans, inventories, and coordinate activities to meet schedules and target objectives
- Responsible for managing manpower levels to meet current weeks production schedule
- Responsible to improve operations by identifying opportunities and proposing solutions utilizing a management system tool, methodologies and best practices to ensure key performance indicators and targets are achieved or exceeded
- Accountable for overall maintenance execution and planning for the manufacturing line.
- Responsible for driving competence and ownership of overall equipment issues, subsequent problem reporting, solving, and elimination to the operator and technician level. Utilizes line support to help drive ownership to shop floor
- Professionally manage the relationship with union members
- Train and coach workforce where required
- Manage department budgetary resources and track via SAP

Job Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Science, Operations Management, or Supply Chain
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
- Must be willing to travel and live within various cities in Canada as you progress through your career
- 1 - 3 years experience as a supervisor in a unionized production department
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude; knowledge of packaging equipment an asset
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Bilingual (French) an asset
