**Position purpose**:
**Reporting to the Assistant Director**:
Develop, organize and promote programs, events and activities related to employment for students, graduates and recent graduates of the University of Ottawa in order to educate them in the field of preparation for employment, their transition to the job market and a better knowledge of the link between their academic achievements and their employability, related careers and employment opportunities.

**In this role you will**:
Plan, develop, coordinate, and oversee the employment services and on-campus recruitment program: career fairs, recruitment receptions, employer presentations, on-campus interviews, networking events, job board (JobsNow), etc. Ensure the quality of these services and the participation and visibility of CO-OP programs during these events. Develop tools to ensure that our students are well prepared to participate in employment events.
Plan and develop proactive strategies to build alliances with local, national, and international employers in collaboration with the University's internal partners and foster career and CO-OP integration in initiatives with employers.
Act as an ambassador for the University of Ottawa to employers to promote the University's brand and encourage the hiring of our students (CO-OP and others), graduates and postgraduates. Network with employer groups on a regional and national basis to identify opportunities for our students and graduates.
Participate in outreach activities as part of a faculty approach. Partner with faculties, student associations and the Alumni Relations Office to plan, organize and deliver career development services and implement ways to enhance the employability of our students and graduates.

**What you will bring**:
Postsecondary education leading to thorough knowledge and experience regarding employment and the labour market

Three to five years' experience in account management and/or business development

Knowledge of relevant recruitment and ethical principles, as well as best practices and standards as set out by the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE) and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE)

Experience as a supervisor and teamwork skills

Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet firm deadlines

Experience in marketing, public relations and networking

Knowledge of project management and event planning

Experience with presentations and administrative writing

Communication and interpersonal skills

Availability to work flexible hours

Bilingualism - French and English (spoken and written)
