**Position Summary**
The Research Strategy Development Specialist I works closely with the Manager, Director and other stakeholders to support the development and implementation of institution-level strategic projects. The analysts helps with documentation of existing and future states, tracking and analysis for planning and execution of the projects. They will build relationships and strong communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and development of both risk and change management plans.
**Duties**
- Analyze business needs, problems, opportunities, and solution scope
- Evaluate and validate solution value and benefits to the organization, supporting business case development and return on investment analysis
- Facilitate process and design workshops with multidisciplinary groups to identify, validate, and document clinical, business and technical requirements
- Conduct workflow review and process redesign, and support continuous improvement processes
- Coordinate system design, build and testing
- Planning and monitoring project progress through tracking project milestones, risks and issues to deliver project within the planned budget, schedule, and with a high level of quality
**Qualifications**:
- At minimum, PhD in Health Informatics or Administration, Technology, Science, Business, or related field, and or have practical and related experience in the field
- Experience working with and/or conducting research studies
- Sound knowledge of project management standards an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management certification an asset
- Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize and get things done
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
- Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies an asset
