Responsibilities:

- Assist with fundraising and special events, connect donors and raise fund.
- To be a driven fundraiser to raise funds for our organization. The responsibilities include developing fundraising programs, recruiting sponsors and volunteers, and encouraging support through promotional activities.
- Increase our monthly donations by new potential contributors and sponsors according to our current funding data.
- The fundraiser will also be engaging in outreach and networking with other organizations, sponsors, and funders, Organizing Food drives and supporting volunteers, Maintaining relationships and communicating with stakeholders and donors as and when required, Writing reports, conducting evaluations, intake support, and Social Media support. Putting together and giving presentations with various stakeholders, partners and funders /donors.
- Compile and maintain detailed and accurate records of donations, grants, and sponsor information.
- Other duties, as assigned by the staff, include always taking the lead to do client intake, handling client data, and preparing food bank client reports. Supporting and meeting with volunteers following safety and precaution Inspecting, sorting, and stocking food, sorting Best Before foods Repackaging bulk food for distribution to clients Sorting food as per Best before dates, stacking them on shelves, and following food bank policies.
- Other duties as assigned by staff. Regular visits to the food banks to understand the need for fundraising for the campaigns.

**To be eligible, participants must**:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

**Education/Experience**
- Administrative accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fundraising skills with outreach skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of support tasks.
- Minimum of 2-years of post-secondary Bachelors Level of education is Mandatory
- Education in Finance/ Fundraising, Marketing and/or related field (Journalism, Sales, Event planning, project management).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading communication activities, social media and fundraising campaigns.
- Experince in fundraising (stong asset), conducting events and written Communication and managing with donors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong facilitation and public speaking skills
- Ability to coordinate volunteers of various ages and demographics
- Ability to take initiative, and work independently and in groups

**Ability to Commute/Relocate**:
Able to commute to various program locations within Scarborough before starting work. (preferred)

Accessible to a vehicle and Driving is an Asset
