Our Finance team plays a key role in helping us stay competitive in the ever-changing retail environment by providing accurate, timely, high-quality financial reporting, analysis and advice to our business. With over 600 employees across a variety of programs and projects, our Finance team is helping to ensure that our leaders have right financial information to make well informed decisions to drive our business forward.

**What You’ll Do**

The mandate of the Operations Support and Analytics Team to provide insight into the performance of the operations (cost & service) to enable internal and external stakeholders to make sound business decisions that drive strong customer service to our CTR Associate Dealers within the budget. In addition, we provide strong project management for specialized programs. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-directed Business Analyst Student to perform a critical role in leading the delivery of process improvement initiatives, analysis, data visualization, end user tool development, and technology solutions to increase transportation efficiency and capacity, improve service levels, reduce costs and drive better decisions. This role will be involved in all the phases of the development of business solutions, from the identification and analysis of opportunities, through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Collaborate and support with Transportation client groups and external carriers regarding the RFP process, initial set up and ongoing maintenance
- Support the rate management tool, monthly fuel surcharge process and produce monthly forecast related to the fuel surcharge
- Maintain carrier rates, location data, contracts, insurance etc., manage system setup, and configuration
- Use of Project Management methodology to lead analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation activities to support goals and objectives of the assigned initiative, including satisfaction of documentation requirements
- Publish regular daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to various stakeholders including internal Transportation teams & leadership, senior management, CTR Associate Dealers, and carrier partners
- Process automation, current process mapping, determine alternative methods, create simulation models to test alternatives and make recommendations

**What You Bring**
- Working towards a post-secondary degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Statics or Applied Math or a relevant discipline
- Advanced user of standard desktop tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, and Visio
- Data Analytics with Relational Databases (i.e. SQL, advanced Access)
- Data Reporting & Visualization (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel)
- Familiarity with project management, process analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of Project Management methodology and/or experience (both Agile and Waterfall)
- Knowledge of programming languages/development tools

This role will require a minimum two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) onsite at our Mississauga campus.
