**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
We are looking for a Research Assistant III interested in assisting in the development of machine learning models to infer causal genetic variants, genes and cell types for brain diseases. These models will leverage multiple sources of large-scale biological data, including the results of genetic studies (genome-wide association studies) on hundreds of thousands of people, information on how variants relate to genes and cell types (single-cell omics), and information on how genes relate to each other (biological networks).

**Responsibilities of the Research Assistant III include but are not limited to**:

- Assisting in the collection, integration, and preprocessing of large-scale biological data from genetic studies, single-cell omics, and biological networks
- Contributing to the development and implementation of machine learning models for inferring causal relationships between genetic variants, genes, and cell types in brain diseases
- Collaborating with other lab members to analyze and interpret the results, and potentially assisting in the publication of research findings

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics field; Master's degree preferred
- Strong computational skills in Python and/or R
- Knowledge of biology preferred
