We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator or Early Childhood Educator Assistant for our Alderbridge, Richmond location.
**Job Description**:
- Responsible for the supervision, safety and well-being of the children in care during daily activities
- Liaise with Director, co-workers and all other staff
- Ensure that all programs are followed and implemented while keeping the individual needs of the children in mind
- Prepare programs and set up the learning environment ahead of time
- Observations and documentation are conducted daily to support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development
- Communicate with families through Tiny Hoppers corresponding methods; establishing and maintaining a warm and supportive professional relationship
- Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the classroom, playground, and routines are followed
- Maintain a clean, healthy, safe, organized, welcoming and stimulating environment for the children
- Attend professional development training/workshops and monthly staff meetings
Qualifications and Requirements:
- MUST have BC ECE or BC ECEA License to practice
- MUST have current First-Aid/CPR Certificate
- MUST have a valid Criminal Record Check
- Have a strong understanding of child development and behavior
- Excellent communication skills
- Be very organized
- Have problem-solving skills and a strong ability to multi-task
- Must look & present self in a professional manner
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $19.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
Work Location: One location
